Andy brings with him a wealth of experience, accumulated over 50 years of involvement in the sport which has included time as Club Captain at York City Rowing Club and President of Newcastle University Boat Club and a drive for constant improvement both in himself and his athletes. Andy is always bringing new ideas to his coahing and recently completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Practice in Sports Coaching as part of his British Rowing Level 4 qualification . He takes a personal interest in the development of everyone he coaches and thanks to this dedication, Andy has maintained consistent results across his time at York. These include a Top 3 finish in the Challenge academic category at WeHoRR and repeated qualifications for the Colgan foundation cup at Henley Women’s regatta.
