The Squads
At UYBC we pride ourselves on our range of squads suited for all abilities. Our Senior Squads are highly competitive at national levels. The 2020/21 season saw a successful Henley run from the men and a gold podium finish at BUCS from the women. The Development Program of the Novice squads encourage you to develop as an athlete, training complete beginners into key contenders both at local regattas and at national ones. The Coxswains' squad consists of both senior and novice coxes, including a comprehensive training program that enables progression from guided sessions to coxing our top crews. Our most recent addition, is our community rowing branch YURow. This allows and encourages recreational rowing. Highly popular not only with our coxes, this consists of students, staff and the local community, widening participation across York.
